Below is our homemade cauliflower wing recipe! For this crispy breaded wing recipe, you
will need as follows.
1. Preparations
a. 1 cauliflower head
b. Wash and cut cauliflower to nugget size pieces (important)
c. Grab a cutting board and two “cereal” bowls
2. Making your batter (Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit while doing this J)
a. ½ cup unbleached flour (bowl 1)
b. ¾ cup non-dairy milk or water (bowl 1) (preferably non-dairy milk if unsweetened)
c. Dash of garlic, onion, and oregano powder (bowl 1)
d. Stir bowl and add more water if needed (bowl 1.. duh) (pancake batter consistency)
e. Fill half of bowl with panko breadcrumbs (bowl 2) (make sure panko is vegan friendly)
f. Put "wings" in bowl, fully immersing it (bowl 1) (let excess batter drip off, this is important)
g. Throw cauliflower in panko breadcrumbs and fully cover it (bowl 2)
h. Repeat last two steps until your pan is full J
3. BAKE THEM MOFO’S
a. Bake for 25 minutes, you will flip the cauliflower bites halfway through (12-13 minutes)
b. Take them out. It almost comes down to when you want to take them out, but we preferred crispy (check photos below)
4. Sauce ‘emmm
a. Throw your wings in a bowl and pour your desired sauce on top of them.
b. Our Fav Flavors: Sweet Chili Sauce, Slap Ya Mama Cajun Hot Sauce, BBQ, Jerk Sauce, and Da Bomb when we are feeling reallllly spicy. ;)
